The aftermath of the 2021 fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of Alec Baldwin's movie Rust plays out in his family's TLC reality show, The Baldwins. The actor balanced his seven children's needs while leaning on wife Hilaria Baldwin for support as he headed into his involuntary manslaughter trial in July 2024.

According to the show’s official synopsis, “The Balwins” is “an intimate, behind-the-scenes look into the lives of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin and their seven children. This series blends the highs and lows of family life, with the challenges and humor that come while raising a large family in the public eye.”

The actor, who was a cast member and producer on the project, pleaded not guilty to an involuntary manslaughter charge in February 2024, and the trial came to a sudden close after four days last July. The case was dismissed after it became clear that police and prosecutors may have withheld evidence during the presentation of their case.
