Jared Verse fueled the outrage of Philadelphia Eagles fans with his comments toward them prior to Sunday's divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams. In response, Eagles fans have embraced Verse's words as motivation heading into Sunday's game. Before the game, a billboard flashed Verse's quote in Philadelphia. During the game, the stadium riled the crowd up by posting Verse's thoughts of Eagles fans on the big board.

It is completely unremarkable that someone who grew up in Berwick like Verse did wouldn’t like or would feel no connection to the Eagles.

Verse said he hates Eagles fans and called them “so annoying,” which Sean McVay didn’t have a problem with. Those in Philadelphia took exception to Verse’s comments and the boo birds rained down on the rookie edge rusher as he walked around Lincoln Financial Field before Sunday’s game.

Before the Los Angeles Rams took on the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs, the rookie defensive end got a lot of hate from Eagles fans. And he was fully embracing it. Earlier this week, Verse said, "I hate Eagles fans. They're so annoying. I hate Eagles fans."

Jared Verse notched two sacks on Sunday, but the Rams standout was booed not for his play but his words after ripping Eagles fans.

Verse explained his hatred for Eagles fans to the LA Times earlier in the week. On Sunday, moments before his pregame warmups, Verse took a pregame lap, embracing the boos from fans with his own taunts while having words with Philadelphia All-Pro defensive tackle Jalne Carter.
