Police officials say just before 8 a.m. Monday, a Ford F250 was stolen out of Gilbert. That same truck was later involved in a crash in Mesa near Val Vista Drive and Southern Avenue.

Troy Garlock died at the scene, Mesa police said. An 8-year-old in the vehicle died at the hospital, and a 6-year-old was injured.

Three people, including a child, are dead following a crash involving a stolen vehicle at Val Vista Drive and Southern Avenue, police said.
