The head of the United States Maritime Alliance cited President-elect Donald Trump’s leadership for helping reach agreement on a new longshore contract.

ILA and the USMX have come to a tentative agreement over a six-year labor contract, averting a strike at dozens of ports on the east and gulf coasts that was set to start on January 15.
