There has been, understandably, a decline in attendance above normal rates as we have been focused on providing guidance and mental health-related activities in lieu of traditional academic instruction.

A student opened fire inside Antioch High School, shooting two other students and then himself, the authorities said. A female student and the shooter were killed, officials said.

Two local students were arrested in unrelated cases for making school threats Thursday. In the first case, Dorrian Harp, an 18-year-old student at Hunters Lane High School, allegedly admitted to telling another student in his class on Tuesday that he would shoot up the school the next day.

Police said a male student shot two people at the high school on Wednesday morning before turning the gun on himself.

Threats against schools and institutions are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.”
