CIA director Ratcliffe says US cut off intelligence to Ukraine -Fox Business Network interview
U.S. has halted sharing intelligence with Ukraine, CIA director says
In the wake of a televised Oval Office squabble pitting President Trump and Vice President JD Vance against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the U.S. has paused intelligence sharing with its war torn ally, according to CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Administration officials said Wednesday the U.S. is withholding critical wartime intelligence from Ukraine as a way to force President Volodymyr Zelenskyy into peace talks with Russia on President Donald Trump’s terms.
Trump's decision to essentially blind Ukrainian forces marks a major twist in the Russia-Ukraine war as the US has been a staunch supporter of Kyiv since invasion began in February 2022.
The U.S. has paused intelligence-sharing with Ukraine, CIA Director John Ratcliffe said on Wednesday, piling pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to cooperate with U.S. President Donald Trump in convening peace talks with Russia.
