Defensive lapses proved critical against the Philadelphia Eagles, leaving Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys searching for answers.

With Jalen Hurts sidelined by a concussion, Kenny Pickett stepped in for his first Eagles start as Philadelphia looks to clinch the division crown vs. the Cowboys.

Pickett got off to a hot start against the Cowboys, throwing for 143 yards and a touchdown, and scoring another on the ground with a Tush Push. But as the Eagles were threatening to score yet again, Pickett ate a brutal hit from Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons, and was knocked out of action.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett was knocked out of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys on a huge hit from Micah Parsons. Pickett took a hit to the body from Parsons while throwing a pass in the third quarter of Sunday’s game.

In a battle of backup quarterbacks, the host Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) had the definitive edge over the Dallas Cowboys (7-9) as they dominated in a decisive 41-7 Week 17 victory.  They clinched the 2024 NFC East division title with the win.

Even if it could keep the playoff hopes alive for Dallas. A win for the Eagles over the Washington Commanders on Sunday would keep the Cowboys' playoff hopes alive. To root for the Eagles in a game, though, is something that Parsons simply cannot do.
