The way things look, it is shaping up that the Colts will have their top choice when it comes to filling the defensive coordinator role.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Falcons are hiring Jeff Ulbrich to be their next defensive coordinator. Ulbrich was previously the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets and took over as the interim head coach this season after Robert Saleh was fired.

Josh McDaniels is returning to the Patriots, reportedly set to be hired as Mike Vrabel's offensive coordinator in New England.

Tony Dews was a running backs coach under Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans from 2018-2022, before taking over as the tight ends coach in 2023.
