The Dallas Cowboys have officially hired former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflusn as defensive coordinator.

Dallas has also hired Nick Sorenson to serve as special teams coordinator under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

To take that next step, the Cowboys might require a true organizational shakeup, but Jones is prioritizing familiarity over success instead.

One day after the Cowboys held a press conference to unveil Schottenheimer as the 10th head coach in franchise history, the club hired Matt Eberflus to be the team’s defensive coordinator and Nick Sorensen to oversee special teams.
