Rachel Sennott, Bowen Yang to announce names
The Oscar nominations ceremony was initially slated for January 17 but was moved to January 19 in the wake of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang will announce the nominations for the 97th annual Academy Awards. The announcement will take place starting at 5:30 a.m. PT on Thursday in a live presentation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
Bowen Yang, known for his comedy on Saturday Night Live and his appearances in films like Wicked: Part 1 (2024) and 2022’s Fire Island and Bros, will present the nominees along with Bottoms star Rachel Sennott. The ceremony is set to take place March 2.

Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Comedian Bowen Yang and actress Rachel Sennott are set to share the Oscar nominations on Thursday. In a social media post Tuesday, The Academy shared that the pair will announce Oscar nominations at 8:30 a.m. EST.
