Israel’s defense minister has announced a series of raids that he says are targeting “terrorism” in the occupied West Bank, as Palestinian officials warned of a “man-made disaster.”

In Gaza, Israeli forces shot and killed a 12-year-old Palestinian child in the southern city of Rafah on Monday, in what witnesses called a blatant violation of the ceasefire deal. Video of the assault shows Israeli forces opening fire on another person attempting to retrieve the boy’s limp body.
