Elena Rybakina, the 2023 BNP Paribas Open champion and seventh seed in this year's event, didn't have to sweat too much in her first match in a drive for another Indian Wells title. Rybakina cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win over the Netherlands' Suzan Lamens. Rybakina, from Kazakhstan, took advantage of six double faults by Lamens.
Elena Rybakina has started her Indian Wells run with a routine 6-3 6-3 victory over Suzan Lamens and that is the seventh consecutive win in the desert for the Kazakh tennis star.
Elena Rybakina faces Katie Boulter for a chance to progress in Indian Wells Open. It is Kazakh’s first visit to the venue since her title run in 2023.
