Keanu Neal, a former first-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons, has announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons in an Instagram post.
Now, the Cowboys enter the offseason with a need at the quarterback position. Prescott remains under contract through the 2028 season after signing a four-year, $240 million extension. Rush and 3rd stringer Trey Lance, on the other hand, are free agents.
Injuries plagued Neal’s career, but he was able to carve out 69 starts over eight seasons with four teams — the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
