Police are chasing two suspects who fled into Brussels’ metro tunnels following a shooting in the Belgian capital, according to officials.

Police and search dogs were stationed outside the central Clemenceau metro in Brussels on Wednesday (February 5) after a shooting closed several stations, the Belgian prosecutor's office said.

All of Brussels' metro lines were back in operation on Wednesday afternoon after a manhunt for armed suspects in the tunnels of the city's underground system brought public transport to a partial standstill.
