Seth Rogen said in a new cover story for Esquire magazine that he did not pay attention to the online buzz that ignited last fall after his former friend and collaborator James Franco told Variety their friendship is definitively over.

Seth Rogen has admitted he was surprised to hear that James Franco brought up the rift between them during a recent interview. The two actors previously worked together on a string of films in the 2000s and 2010s including Pineapple Express,

James — who was hit with sexual misconduct allegations in 2018 — recently said he’s tried to tell Seth “how much he’s meant” to him but that their longtime friendship is “over.”
