Forecast maps from the National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Prediction Center indicate that as of 6 p.m. Wednesday, most of New Mexico, as well as parts of Texas, Colorado and Arizona, had some probability of more than an inch of snowfall accumulating.

A number of weather warnings are in place for parts of the UK on Tuesday, as more snow is forecast to fall across the country and flooding is expected. The Met Office has issued three new yellow snow and ice warnings and another snow alert over the next three days following a weekend of extreme weather.

The snow barrage that hammered the UK over the weekend looks set to continue with six major UK cities set to be hit on Tuesday. Earlier today, the Met Office issued new UK snow warnings across the country.

Monday’s winter storm brought 6 to 10 inches of snow to the D.C. metro area, with storm impacts felt from Virginia to Maryland. Read more on the snow totals.

Monday's round of snow brought some of the highest snow totals in Fayette County, with five inches reported in the Leith-Hatfield area. First Alert: Today with snow lasting until around 7 p.m. Aware: Below normal temperatures all week.

Storm Warning continues through 7 p.m. Monday. Roadways are very messy in many locations while road crews are trying to clear the snow. Some locations have seen as much as 8″ of snow early this morning while others have seen less than 1″.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of Devon and Cornwall. The first warning for snow and ice begins at 17:00 GMT and ends at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday. A second warning for snow across both counties then takes effect from 09:00 on Wednesday to 23:59 the same day.

Britain was bracing for more snow, rain and flooding on Monday as severe weather disrupted road and rail travel and forced airports in northern England to temporarily close their runways, delaying dozens of flights.
