A large group of protesters vandalized and set fire to the residence of Bangladesh founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dhaka during a live online address by his daughter and deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The demonstrators reportedly declared that the house, long associated with the Mujibur family, symbolised authoritarianism and fascism. They expressed their intentions to erase any trace of what they referred to as "Mujibism" and fascism in the country.

Declaring the house a symbol of 'authoritarianism and fascism,' protesters vowed to eliminate any trace of what they termed 'Mujibism.' Some protesters even called for Sheikh Hasina’s execution.

A mob vandalised Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's residence in Dhaka, causing significant destruction and setting parts of the house on fire. The protesters reportedly demanded a ban on the Awami League, breaking open the gate to enter the premises.
