Ben Johnson is quickly building his first coaching staff as the Bears head coach, and he's poaching from a few other teams in the process. The Bears are working to finalize a deal with Lions receivers coach Antwaan Randle El to be their new assistant head coach/wide receivers coach,

Randle El, who played nine seasons as a receiver in the NFL, joined coach Dan Campbell's staff as the WR coach after two years as an offensive assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Lions won a franchise-record 15 games in 2024 but were upset 45–31 by the Washington Commanders in the divisional round last weekend.

However, fans have criticized the Bears' post because this award came from Johnson's efforts with a direct division rival while also helping Detroit go 2-0 against Chicago. "Bears down so bad they are hyping up their coaches for winning awards with other teams," said one comment.
